Napoleon Bonaparte introduced the 20-gold Franc under his rule. The Lucky Angel was the second gold Franc, replacing the Napoleon in 1848. The coin was designed by Augustine Dupree in 1792, and started to circulate in 1848 and 1849, as well as in 1871 through 1898.
