2008 British 1/4 oz Gold Britannia Coin Gem Proof – NGC PF70

In 2008, The Royal Mint issued a limited-edition Britannia gold proof to commemorate the coin’s 20th anniversary. With a mintage of only 1000 proof coins struck, it’s among the most sought-after Britannia’s.

The obverse is graced with the fourth Effigy Of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Reverse features Britannia with her garment flowing. The trident is in her right hand and the Union Jack shield in her left, with a lighthouse in the background.

This rare beauty is certified PF70 by NGC.  A beautiful piece of that would make a great addition to just about any collection.
