The series began in 2019 following the of the Royal Arms of England Gibraltar which featured the original quartered Shield of Plantagenet King Richard I. (Richard the Lionheart).
The 2024 Royal Arms is struck in 1 ounce of .999 fine silver in a proof like finish by the Royal Mint of England. The coin is designed by famed Heraldic artist Timothy Noad.
The obverse features the first official portrait of King Charles III. The reverse has a depiction of the UK Royal Arms. It features the Lion of England and the Unicorn of Scotland holding the quartered Shield with the Imperial Crown.
