This commemorative 5-pound Crown coin features a one-off design on both the obverse and Reverse by Ian Rank. Broadly, used only on this coin.
The obverse shows a beautiful portrait of her majesty, a youthful equestrian portrait of her majesty. The portrait resembles the 1977 effigy of the Silver Jubilee Crown coin.
The reverse side of the coin features an unusual bust in which the queen looks back over her shoulder. One of the very few times that both sides of a coin were designed by the same person.
The 2002 golden jubilee proof is struck in 28 grams of .925 silver by the Royal Mint. The coin is absolutely immaculate and arrives in its original display box with a certificate of authenticity.
