The 2021 American Silver Eagle type 1 is among the most sought-after coin of the series. 35 years after the Silver Eagle debuted in 1986, the coin was to be redesigned.
Initially the new design was supposed to be released in 2021. Due to overwhelming demand along with covid issues, it didn’t make the original release date. The first few months of 2021 still featured the original design.
The new design (Type 2) was eventually released during the summer of 2021. It was one of the very few times that the same coin was released during the same year with two different designs. The (Type-1) is among the top selling coin in the series.
