The 2023 Alexander III Faberge egg $1 coin celebrates one of the six famous eggs that disappeared never to be seen again. Fabergé Easter eggs were created by Goldsmith and Jeweler Peter Carl Faberge for the Russian royal family during the late 19th century.
The stunning eggs were crafted with precious metals and gemstones with various other surprises hidden inside. Each egg would open up concealing a hidden gift that included gems, watches, portraits, and even a tiny train.
The Alexander III egg was created for Nicholas II which was given to his mother empress Maria Feodorovna. It was in honor of his father who had past away 15 years earlier.
The featured 2023 Niue Fabergé egg coin is proof struck in 16.81 grams of .999 fine silver from the famed mint of Poland. Direct from the mint, each coin arrives in an elegant unopened display case along with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
