The obverse features the first official crowned portrait of King Charles III, designed by famed artist Martin Jennings. The reverse bears the Royal Cypher of his majesty. Similar to a monogram, a cypher includes the initials of the Monarch’s name, Charles, and title, Rex, – Latin for King. A Laurel wreath surrounds the Cypher with the Imperial crown at the top.–
The Coronation coin is struck in 1/4 oz of .9999 pure gold in a lustrous finish. With only 10,000 coins struck, these won’t be around much longer. Each coin arrives in Immaculate condition housed in a direct-fit capsule. For added protection, the coin is housed in a brand new mahogany display box from Guardhouse. |
