The 2023 release is historically significant as it is among the few times a coin has featured 2 different Monarchs during the same year.

Although the British adopted Britannia as their National symbol just over 300 years ago, the original design was struck by the Romans over 2 centuries ago.  More than just a coin, Britannia is a symbol of British history, culture and pride.

The Britannia is among the most secured gold coins of today. A micro engraved Latin phrase was added along the coins Edge. Tincture lines in the backfield mimic ocean waves with the tilt of the coin. A holographic laser engraved privy mark was also added on the reverse. Depending on the angle of view, the privy mark changes from a trident to a padlock.

A beautiful mirror like finish gives the coin a proof like appearance. Brilliant uncirculated and in spectacular condition, the coin arrives in a new airtight pvc-free capsule. For added protection, also included is a brand new Guardhouse display box in a mahogany finish.
