The 2024 Australian 2 oz silver Double Dragon Mother of Pearl proof is the latest release in the Chinese “Myths and Legends” series from the famed Perth Mint.

The Chinese lunar calendar has a 12-year cycle with each year represented by an animal. The mythological Dragon represents the 5th year of the calendar symbolizing power and good fortune.

 

The 2024 Australian Double Dragon is proof struck in 2 ounces of .9999 pure silver by the Perth Mint. The obverse side of the coin features the first official portrait of King Charles III.

 

The reverse features two dragons encircling a precision carved mother of pearl gemstone replicating the fiery pearl of wisdom. Also included is the Chinese character that represents “Year of the Dragon” along with the coin’s weight, purity, and date.

This stunning 2024 Australian Double Dragon arrives encapsulated and housed in the Perth Mints signature display box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
