2024 Canada Pysanka 1 oz Silver Proof Egg Shaped $20 Coin

The series began on 2016 celebrating the Pysanka eggs which are popular in Ukrainian culture. They play a major role with Orthodox Christians as they are believed it’s a ward off evil and misfortune. The design elements and motifs are a reflection of the community one comes from.

The coin is proof struck in 1 troy oz of .9999 fine silver from the RCM. The obverse is graced wiith an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse features patterns and symbols representing our ties with the Earth. Some of these remarkable designs were found on pottery from the Neolithic era.
