In ancient Asian culture, the mythical dragon was a symbol of power with the ability to bestow good fortune. Contrary to Western folklore that portrays dragons as vicious and demonic, in Eastern folklore, dragons are revered and seen as guardians.
The 2024 Fiji Year of the Dragon coin is struck in 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver. The use of 3D laser engraving allowed the coin to be struck in ultra-high relief, with an impressive 36 mm diameter. Precious gemstone inserts in place of the dragon’s eyes enhance the coin’s appeal and value.
Direct from the mint, the coin arrives in a custom capsule with a theme-designed box that complements the coin. A numbered certificate of authenticity is also included.
