The 2024 Four Nations coin is a rendition of the last Round Pound coin issued in 2016. The reverse is divided into 4 quadrants, each featuring a heraldic animal defending the Tudor crown which sits at the center.
The Heraldic animals each represent the four nations of the United Kingdom. They include the Lion of England, the Unicorn of Scotland, the Dragon of Wales and the Stag of Northern Ireland.
The 2024 United Kingdom Four Nations coin is struck in 1/4 oz of .9999 pure gold. The obverse side of the coin features the first official portrait of King Charles III.
