The original Una and the Lion coin was struck in 1839 to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria of England, following her succession to the throne in 1837.
The famous image was the work of one of the greatest engravers of the time, William Wyon. Today, it’s regarded as among the most beautiful coin designs ever struck.
The featured bar is the latest release from the Sunshine Mint. The obverse has a rendition of the iconic Una and the lion design.
The reverse features a repeating pattern along with the weight, purity, and content. The reverse also features the Latin phrase “Dirigit Deus Cressus Meos,” which translates to “may God guard my steps.”
The 2024 Una and the Lion bar is struck in 1 troy oz of .999 pure silver with a beautiful luster. The bar is meticulously crafted and certain to sell out. Direct from the mint, each bar arrives factory sealed.
