The 2024 Britannia is struck in one troy ounce of .999 pure silver in a proof like finish. The obverse side is graced the first official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
The reverse side of the coin features the modern day Britannia image. Britannia is depicted in a forward stance wearing a Corinthian helmet yielding a trident in one hand and a Union Jack shield in the other.
The 2024 Britannia has the latest security features including a laser inscribed Latin phrase “Decus Et Tutamen” etched along the inner rim. Surface animations on the backfield mimic ocean waves in motion. A recently added laser engraved privy mark changes from a trident to a padlock with a tilt of the coin.
