Fabergé Easter eggs, also known as “Imperial eggs,” were elaborate, jeweled Easter gifts made from 1885 to 1917. The Imperial eggs were created by goldsmith and jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé for the Russian Royal family in the late 19th century.
The Faberge eggs were crafted with precious metals and gemstones with various other surprises hidden inside. Each egg would open up, concealing a hidden gift, including gems, watches, and portraits.
The “Cradle with Garlands” egg is known as the “Love Trophies” egg because it symbolizes love, family virtues, and the heir’s birth. Adorned with floral motifs, a portrait of the imperial children was hidden inside the egg.
The 2023 Niue Silver Faberge Egg Cradle with Garlands is proof struck in .54 oz of .999 pure silver by the Mint of Poland. Each coin in the series has a limited mintage of only 999 coins. Direct from the mint, each Fabergé egg arrives unopened and in immaculate condition. The coin is housed in a transparent display case along with a COA.
