Engelhard was founded in 1903. What began as a small refinery eventually became one of the worlds largest producers of gold and silver bullion.
The Prospector was Engelhard’s signature design. Its still among the most popular silver bullion rounds favored by coin enthusiasts and collectors alike. The obverse of the 1984 Prospector featured both a Soaring Eagle as well as their Logo, a tall “E” centered in a globe.
