The Queens Beasts is a 10 coin series struck by the Royal Mint that began in 2016. The series features the 10 heraldic beasts that stood guard at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

The 2018 Unicorn of Scotland is one of the crown jewels of the series. The coins obverse is graced with the 5th effigy of her Majesty.

The reverse side of the coin features a stunning depiction of the Unicorn of Scotland designed by Jody Clark. The Unicorn is standing on its hind legs with its hooves dangling over the Royal Badge of England.
