2020 2 oz Silver Kookaburra Coin Next Generation
Featuring the 2020 Australian 2 oz silver Kookaburra “Mother and Baby” piedfort coin. It’s the third coin released in the Next Generation coin series. In 2018, the Perth Mint issued an intriguing new series of piedforts celebrating several animals native to Australia. A piedfort refers to a coin that is twice the weight of the original, yet with the same diameter. This makes the coin twice as thick, giving it massive eye appeal. The series began with a 2 oz silver Koala Mother & Baby followed by a Mother and Baby crocodile piedfort.
The reverse features a kookaburra mother perched in its nest with a young baby. The obverse features the fifth Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin arrives in a new oversized capsule with foam ring keeping it nice and snug. Its placed in a new Guardhouse display box
