For the series debut, the coin features a depiction of the goddess ” Diana.” In ancient Greek mythology , Diana was the sister of Apollo. She was considered a double deity, as both the goddess of the moon and the underworld. In the 1850s, a famous artist named Hiram Powers designed a beautiful bust of Diana in marble, which now sits at the Smithsonian…The 1 oz of silver coin features a depiction of Diana on the reverse, while the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse. The series features a holographic element on the obverse. When viewed at an angle , the letters ICON appear and overlay the image. The innovative design and beautiful images have made the Icon series extremely popular.
