Native to Indonesia, the Komodo is one of the largest lizards capable of growing over 12 ft and close to 200 pounds.. Their appetite is quite unique. Nothing is off the table, not even humans as there are over a dozen Komodo attacks reported each year.

Issued for the New Zealand territory of Tokelau, this beauty was struck by the world renowned Scottsdale mint. One of their latest series released, only 15,000 coins were struck, with less than half being released in the US.

The obverse features the fifth Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with the reverse featuring the Komodo dragon on the hunt for its next meal. Beautifully designed with an impressive strike, the coin was topped off in a lustrous proof like finish… Straight from the mint, the coin arrives in a new, airtight capsule factory sealed on the Scottsdale signature cardboard backing.
