The “Birds of Prey” series began in 2014 after the success of the Canadian Wildlife series. Each coin was designed by famed artist Emily Damstra. The 4-coin series also includes the Peregrine Falcon, the Red-tailed Hawk, and the Bald Eagle.
The 2015 Great Horned Owl is struck in 1 troy oz of .9999 fine silver. The obverse is graced with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse features a close-up photo of the predator in flight.
