Shortly after the coin debuted in 1986, the Gold Eagle surpassed both the Krugerrand and the Maple Leaf as the most minted coin in the world. Its popularity and high demand makes it favored by collectors, investors, and coin enthusiasts.

The image of Lady Liberty on the obverse was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It features Lady Liberty striding forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The reverse features an up close portrait of an American eagle.  It’s beautiful design and intricate details give it a lifelike appearance.

Each corner arrives in pristine condition as the day it left the mint. All of our coins are placed in new, direct-fit, airtite capsules. For added protection, the coin is housed in a new clamshell display box by Gaurdhouse.
