The series began in 2019 following the of the Royal Arms of England Gibraltar which featured the original quartered Shield of Plantagenet King Richard I. (Richard the Lionheart).
The 2024 Royal Arms features the first official portrait of King Charles III on the obverse. The reverse bears a depiction of the royal arms. The image shows both the Lion of England and the Unicorn of Scotland holding the quartered Shield. The Imperial Crown sits atop the shield.
The coin is struck in 1 ounce of .999 fine silver in a proof like finish. Designed by famed artist Timothy Noad, the coin arrives in remarkable condition and in a new Direct-Fit capsule.
