Isle of Man Gold Angel Coin .5 gram Pure Gold Isle of Man Gold Angel Coin .5 gram Pure Gold
The Isle of Man Angel coin is one of the most popular and sought-after coins. Since being redesigned in 1984, it’s widely regarded as among the most beautiful coins ever struck.
It was originally known as the Noble Angel. King Edward IV issued the Angel coin in the 15th century, at the time replacing the gold Noble.
The Angel coin’s popularity was due to widespread belief in its healing properties. Kings held ceremonies where they gave the gold coin to the sick and disabled, believing it would cure tuberculosis, known as “king’s evil” at the time.
The Pobjoy Mint began producing the Angel coin in 1984, featuring a beautiful new design. It quickly became a favorite among collectors and investors around the world.
The 2025 Angel coin is proof struck in .5 grams of .999 pure gold by the Tower mint. The coin’s reverse features an enhanced image of Archangel Michael slaying a dragon. The obverse bears the first official portrait of King Charles III.
Direct from the mint, this masterfully designed coin is absolutely stunning. Each coin arrives in a new, direct-fit capsule.
