In honor of the historical event, MTB issued a series of bars and rounds to be struck by the most prestigious names in the industry. The program began in 1982 with a limited number of bars struck by the Medallic Arts company.In 1984, the program continued under the trade name Liberty Trade Silver. Engelhard, Johnson Matthey, and the Mexican mint we’re tasked with producing a variety of silver bullion bars and rounds in various sizes.The featured one ounce silver bar was struck in .999 fine silver. The obverse features a full length depiction of lady Liberty. The reverse features a repeating pattern of the MTB logo along with a unique serial number and coveted “MA” privy mark.This bar is from the private collection and in meticulous condition. The bar arrives in it’s original mint sealed plastic, intact and airtight. Absolutely no toning or defects to the naked eye.. A beautiful piece that would be an excellent addition to any collection. |
