The UK 2024 Four Nations is a rendition of the last Round Pound coin issued in 2016. The reverse is divided into 4 quadrants, each featuring a heraldic animal defending the Tudor crown which sits at the center.
The Heraldic animals each represent the four Nations of the United Kingdom. They include the Lion of England, the Unicorn of Scotland, the Dragon of Wales and the Stag of Northern Ireland.
The 2024 UK Four Nations coin is struck in 1/4 oz of .9999 pure gold. The obverse side of the coin features the first official portrait of King Charles III designed by Martin Jennings.
The Four Nations coin includes a unique security feature on the obverse side. A repeating pattern including the weight, purity, and year of issue is micro engraved along the coins edge.. The Four Nations is also available in 2 oz .999 fine silver.
