This 1912 half-sovereign is struck in 22-carat gold with 3.666 grams of pure gold. British George V half sovereigns were struck by the Tower Mint from 1910 through 1936.

The obverse features a coinage portrait of George V designed by Bertram Mackennal. The reverse depicts Benedetto Pistrucci’s St. George and the dragon design that has become synonymous with the Sovereign.
