2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Canadian Maple Leaf series. The Royal Canadian Mint celebrated the event with this special 30-year tribute coin struck in 2 oz of .9999 fine silver.

The 2018 tribute coin was the first to introduce a unique laser-engraved background. A repeating pattern of maple leaves with the number 30 gives the coin a pulsating effect. A gold gilded edge along with a decorative banner was added across the maple leaf.

The obverse side of the coin is graced with a gold-gilded effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susan Blunt. Mintage was set at just 6,000 coins, making it one of the most sought-after maple leaves in the series.

The masterfully struck 2018 Maple Leaf tribute coin is absolutely beautiful. Direct from the mint, the coin arrives in the RCM clamshell display box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
