According to the ancient Zodiac calendar, the heavens are divided into 12 constellations of the Zodiac, with the stars having influence in our lives and events.
The coin’s reverse features a metallic blue wheel divided into 12. Each section of the zodiac wheel is skillfully designed with one of the 12 signs of the zodiac. The Sun and the Moon appear at the center. The massive 50 mm size brings out the intricate details of every symbol and motif.
The obverse is graced with Susan Blunts’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II along with the date, purity, and face value. The coin features a stunning visual element invisible to the naked eye. With the use of a black light (included), the coin glows in a brilliant blue with a ring revealing the 12 Zodiac constellations.
The Signs of the Zodiac Coin is struck in 2 troy oz of .9999 pure silver in a proof finish. This stunning work of art was designed by famed artist Jori von der Linde from the Royal Canadian Mint. The one-year issue has a mintage of just 4000 coins, selling out at the mint in its first week.
